We are a small Australian based IT firm currently offering web development and branding services to small businesses. Often our client websites require a small amount of custom written Javascript/AJAX to improve functionality.

Javascript/AJAX developer
Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Javascript/AJAX Developer to take on part time contract work over the next 6 months onwards. You will work via email/skype/smoke-signals/chat reporting directly to the project manager, or if he isn’t available, the water-cooler. You will work on mostly small scripts such as custom drop-down/pop-out menus, improving photo gallery functionality, applying drag+drop functionality to shopping carts, etc.

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be motivated and proactive, enjoy the taste of freshly squeezed orange juice, and possess the following skills:-A strong knowledge of Javascript
-Experience with, and a thorough understanding of Mootools.
-Experience with JQuery (preferred but not essential)
-Experience with AJAX
-A passion for accessibility and w3c web standards
-A good sense of humour (essential)

You have a choice of $20 USD/hour (negotiable), or 20 surfing lessons with my grandmother (also negotiable).
Payment
Upon completion of each pre-agreed milestone.
